“Sonic lipstick. Never leave home without it.”

Sarah Jane Smith, played by Elisabeth Sladen was one of the Doctor’s longest serving companions of the Classic era and was featured in over 80 episodes of Doctor Who. 

After the television revival of Doctor Who in 2005, Sarah Jane returned for several episode’s with David Tennant’s Tenth Doctor before headlining her own spin-off series, The Sarah Jane Adventures from 2007 to 2011.

The Sonic Lipstick was a gift from the Doctor to his former companion and was supposedly left inside K-9 MK IV’s casing for Sarah to find when the Doctor replaced her faithful tin dog after K-9 MK III sadly met his end during the Series Two story of The Sarah Jane Adventures, “School Reunion”. 

The sonic lipstick prop was designed in 2006 by Concept Artist Matthew Savage and brought to life by prop makers, Nicholas Robatto and Mark Cordory. 

There were many variations of the physical sonic lipstick prop created for The Sarah Jane Adventures, however this particular archival replica featured is the version made for Series Two.
