“Something I should have done a long time ago. Repair the chameleon circuit.”

Despite the sonic screwdriver not making a reappearance during the Classic Era of the show, another sonic device did briefly get used by the Sixth Doctor, who was played by Colin Baker. 

This was an entirely new prop, made primarily from blue plastic, that featured light up red resin sections and silver detailing. 

This sonic lance was used only during the season twenty-two story, “Attack of the Cybermen”. During the story The Doctor is once again attempting to repair the TARDIS’ Chameleon Circuit and actually manages to with some vague level of success. The TARDIS exterior changes from the familiar blue Police Box into an organ. The prop met its end though when The Doctor jammed it into the chest of a Cyberman.

It is unknown whether or not the original physical sonic lance prop(s) still exists.
